The Union Minister for Education, Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein, together with the Deputy Minister U Nay Myo Hlaing, Directors General, and responsible officials, visited the Basic Education and Industrial, Agricultural, and Livestock High School (MRTV) in Thawta Village, Tatkon Township, Ottarathiri District, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, this morning. They inspected students’ learning activities and delivered words of encouragement.
During the visit, the Union Minister explained that after passing the matriculation examination, students will have different opportunities depending on their abilities. Outstanding students will be able to continue their studies at institutions such as Technological University, Government Technological College, Yezin Agricultural University, and University of Veterinary Science. Students who pass the exam will be able to pursue diplomas such as Diploma in Engineering at Government Technical Institute, and Diploma in Agriculture at State Agricultural Institute, Diploma in industrial, agricultural and technology at Government Technical Institute, Diploma in Livestock at State Agricultural Institute, Diploma in Fisheries and Aquaculture at Fisheries Science Institute. Students who do not pass will still receive Certificate of Recognition which enables them to enter the workforce.
The Union Minister encouraged students to study diligently every day in order to achieve their goals. The nation requires skilled professionals in industry, agriculture, and livestock. Since the nation’s economy is fundamentally based on agriculture, students should strive to become reliable and capable individuals for the nation’s future and students should not only focus on their studies but also participate in sports and school activities in order to stay healthy and physically strong.
After that, inspections were carried out on the classrooms, practical farms, computer room, industrial and agricultural equipment areas.
Subsequently, the Union Minister, the Deputy Minister, together with responsible officials visited No. (20) Basic Education and Industrial, Agricultural, and Livestock High School in Pyinmana Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory. They encouraged students to engage in practical learning activities, and carried out inspections of the classrooms and the school compound.
