The Union Minister for Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein received H.E. Mr. Bounphieng Chanthavong, Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Myanmar, at the office No.13, reception hall of the Ministry of Education in Nay Pyi Taw this afternoon.
During the meeting, the two sides held open and cordial discussions on expanding areas of mutually beneficial cooperation between two countries, enhancing collaboration in student exchange programmes, and further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the sector of education in the future. After that, the meeting concluded with the reciprocal exchange of commemorative gifts.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister for Education U Nay Myo Hlaing, Director General for the Department of Higher Education Dr. Than Zaw Oo, and the authorities concerned.
